The comfort and safety of your family as well as the avoidance of expensive repairs depend on routine maintenance of your home's plumbing system. The sewer line is one of the most important parts of your plumbing system. However, since it's underground and concealed, it's simple to ignore until something goes wrong.

In this blog post, our professionals from Express Plumbing & Rooter will explain what signs show that your sewer line is due for a repair.

Slow Drains Throughout Your Home

Slow drains in several of your home's fixtures are among the first indications of a sewer line issue. Your sewer line may be clogged or damaged if you observe that the drains from your sinks, bathtubs, and toilets are all backing up or draining slowly. While minor clogs may frequently be unclogged with a plunger or drain snake, slow drains that don't go away may need a plumber's skills to check and repair the sewer system.

Foul Odors Coming from Drains

Bad smells coming from your drains, especially strong sewage scents, are a dead giveaway that there is a problem with your sewer system. These smells may be the consequence of sewer line leaks or clogs that are keeping waste from correctly leaving your property. Ignoring these smells could put your plumbing system at further risk for harm and pose health risks. Making quick contact with a plumbing service is crucial to identifying and resolving the problem.

Lush Patches of Grass in Your Yard

Surprisingly, your yard can provide valuable clues about the condition of your sewer line. It can be a sign of a leak if you see particularly lush and green patches of grass in your yard, especially close to the sewer line. Sewage that leaks serves as fertilizer, encouraging the growth of plants above it. A lush lawn could seem nice, but it's a warning that you need a skilled plumbing repair service to fix your sewer line right away.

Persistent Sewer Backups

If your sewage line is frequently backing up, there's a serious issue that needs to be fixed right away. Regularly experiencing sewage backups in your toilets or drains may indicate serious damage or blockage in your sewer line. Using chemical drain cleaners to try and fix these backups on your own can exacerbate the problem and harm your pipes. As an alternative, get a plumber with experience in sewer repair to evaluate and solve the issue.

Mold or Mildew Growth

Mold and mildew can grow more easily in your home if there is moisture from leaking sewer lines. Mold or mildew growth around your plumbing fixtures on the walls, ceiling, or flooring may be a sign of a concealed sewage line leak. In addition to being unsightly and damaging to your property, mold and mildew can also pose health risks to you and your family. In order to stop additional damage and maintain a healthy living environment, it is imperative that the underlying sewer line issue be resolved as soon as possible with the assistance of a plumbing specialist.

Conclusion

The plumbing system in your house depends heavily on the health of your sewer line. You can prevent expensive situations by taking proactive measures to fix problems before they become more serious by being aware of the indicators that your sewer line needs to be repaired. Don't hesitate to get in touch with a reliable plumber or plumbing repair firm to assess and resolve any issues you may be seeing right away. Making prompt sewer line repairs helps safeguard your property and provide you comfort in knowing that your plumbing system is operating at peak efficiency.

Let me tell you folks what I went through last night after I came home from a party I walked in my bathroom and saw the bathtub and toilet overflowing with black water so I immediately went online and found a company this company was express plumbing and router the girl on the phone was really really friendly and nice she assured me that my problem will be solved and I should have no worries the technician will be arriving in 60 to 90 minutes she told me well that was true because he was here in 45 minutes  The technician came and unclog the drain for only amazing $55 when he came in to my house he was wearing booties so he said would not dirty my carpet that's a plus because I have white carpets in my house I would really recommend this company to my family and friends and whoever has a plumbing problem thank you express plumbing and rooter.
